What to Read in May

There are some great reads to consider this month. I’ve started the Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters by Balli Kaur Jaswal about three Punjabi sisters who embark on a pilgrimage to their homeland to lay their mother to rest and can’t wait to dive into The Valedictorian of Being Dead by Heather B. Armstrong. For history lovers, historian David McCullough has written Pioneers, a thorough look into the settlers of the Northwest Territory. Something for everyone!

What to Read in April

So many good books this month. I’m especially looking forward to Ruth Reichl’s Save Me the Plums. Her writing is fantastic and I loved her previous memoirs. In this book she shares her time as editor in chief at Gourmet Magazine. Enjoy!

What to Read in January 2019

Happy New Year! I hope it was relaxing and filled with good cheer.

What are your reading goals for 2019? It can be fun to set a reading goal for the year. At the very least, keep track of what you read. You may be surprised at the end of the year how many books you have read.

100 Notable Books of 2018

One of the nice things about the end of the year is all “the best” lists.  It’s fun to scroll through and decide if you agree or disagree with the lists.  I particularly enjoy reading through The New York Times 100 Notable Books for the year.  Take a look at the link below and see what you have read or create a to read list from the selections.
