The Man Booker Prize for Fiction, one of the highest honors for novels written in English, has announced the shortlist for 2015.
The MBP has been presented annually for nearly 50 years and comes with an award of about $80,000.
The winner will be announced on Oct. 13.
The shortlist includes:
